Institute for Vaccine Safety
The Institute for Vaccine Safety was
established in 1997 at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health - now the
Bloomberg School of Public Health. Our mission is to provide an independent assessment of
vaccines and vaccine safety to help guide decision makers and educate physicians, the
public and the media about key issues surrounding the safety of vaccines. The

My interest in vaccination and its
adverse effects dates from the time, some 20 years ago, that my own children were small.
Throughout the intervening period I have collated information and, mainly during the last
ten years, have recorded the testimony of my own practice.
Homoeopathic practice has recognized that
chronic complaints can develop following vaccination ever since the general introduction
of smallpox vaccination in the 19th century. For many years Thuja was acknowledged by
homoeopaths as the proven remedy for these complaints, whose treatment by homeopathic
means however appeared to me to be less than satisfactory. About ten years ago I acquired
the book La médecine retrouvée3 by my colleague Jean Elmiger, which caused me to change
my methods of treating post-vaccination disorders and my feelings of helplessness began
gradually to disappear. The method he described was simple and easy to use both for
treatment and prevention. I made a habit of enquiring about each child's vaccination
history and a grateful mother would frequently exclaim: "It's just what I've always
said, but nobody would believe me; they said those complaints couldn't have anything to do
with the vaccinations."
Vaccines appear to have more side-effects
than has hitherto been accepted. It must be recalled that vaccines are composed of
weakened, dead or divided germs or toxins* with their additives, to which impurities
(aluminium phosphate, aluminium hydroxide, neomycin, thiomersal (a mercury compound),
formaldehyde, 2-phenoxyethanol, chicken protein) always cling.
My discussion will show that vaccinations
can be responsible for both acute and chronic health problems. I should like to bring this
booklet to the attention of all doctors, parents, patients and any others who have in any
way been involved with the consequences of vaccination.

The general public is essentially unaware
of the true number of people (mostly children) who have been permanently damaged or killed
by vaccines. In fact, most parents would be surprised to learn that the government has a
secret computer database filled with several thousand names of disabled and dead babies,
children who were healthy and alive just prior to receiving the vaccines. Of course, the
medical establishment and federal government don't readily disclose this information
because they know it's likely to frighten parents into seeking other ways to protect their
children. In other words, parents just might think this issue through on their own and
decide to reject the shots.
National Vaccine Information
National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) is a national, non-profit educational
organization founded in 1982. Located in Vienna, Virginia, NVIC is the oldest and largest
parent-led organization advocating reformation of the mass vaccination system and is
responsible for launching the vaccine safety movement in America in the early 1980s.
The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) is
dedicated to the prevention of vaccine injuries and deaths through public education. NVIC
provides assistance to parents whose children have suffered vaccine reactions; promotes
research to evaluate vaccine safety and effectiveness as well as to identify factors which
place individuals at high risk for suffering vaccine reactions; and monitors vaccine
research, development, policy-making and legislation. NVIC supports the right of citizens
to exercise informed consent and make educated, independent vaccination decisions for
themselves and their children.
Our Toxic World - Who is Looking
After Our Children?
American children today may be confronted
with the greatest difficulty and danger that can be placed on any generation, that of a
subtle deterioration in health, largely the result of an increasingly hostile and toxic
environment. Considering the circumstances, the marvel is that many do turn out well.
Children are much more vulnerable to
toxic exposures than adults. Because they have borne the brunt of these exposures and
suffered the consequences in terms of impaired health, it can be predicted that the
present generation of children, in years to come, will find definitive answers in terms of
restoring a clean human environment and restoring natural balances that all too often,
have been disrupted by modern technology.
It has been said that difficulties carry
the seeds for their own cure. In the present case, the ultimate cure must rest with the
children. It is fairly safe to anticipate that the present generation of children will
become the culture bearers of the future.
Increasing health problems in children
today largely involve two closely related and interacting systems of the body, the immune
system and the brain and nervous system. Health problems involving these systems express
themselves as various manifestations of crippled immune systems, delayed development, and
"minimal brain dysfunction."
Allergic disorders such as asthma are
rapidly increasing, both in frequency and severity.(1,2) Although more difficult to
quantify statistically, susceptibility to common viral infections and their complications
appears to have increased on a scale largely unknown in earlier generations, as indicated
by the increasing numbers of children who are becoming dependent on frequent or prolonged
courses of antibiotics.
Corresponding increases have taken place
in behavioral disorders, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), and learning
disabilities. ADHD, with its long-term consequences in terms of impaired learning capacity
and social adjustment difficulties that commonly ensue in later adolescence, is arguably
one of the foremost health problems of our times. (3,4)
